AIMS AND OBJECTIVIES

AIM:To secure lives of girl children and give them every development that will make their future bright.

OBJECTIVES

• To teach teen girls positive skill sets that will influence healthy choice making, create strong self-esteem and build bright futures
• To help create a generation of girls who dream big and know they have the skills and confidence to make their bright futures happen
• To provide women with tools and knowledge that will enable them to become economically independent
• To inform women about their rights as regards gender-based violence and guide them through rehabilitation
• To create space for the youth, especially girls, to express themselves, be creative and acquire new knowledge and skills

  GOALS

Our goal is to contribute highly in ensuring girls are privileged to become what they want to become, work according to their purpose in life which will lead to high development in the lives of girl children.

Girl Empowerment Alliance for Change is a multi-activity organization that has identified a number of girl children’s need and we have a number of empowerment programs below.

EDUCATION

• Identify vulnerable families that can’t afford to take their children to school and empower them with income generating activity so that they can be self reliant and be able to provide school support for their own children.
• Provide reusable sanitary towels to school going children. Children that are coming out of age shun away from attending classes when they are on their menses.
• Provide motivational talks on the importance of education.
• Providing school sponsorships (Vulnerable)
• Educating school dropouts (Early Marriage)
• Carrying out awareness programs e.g.
• Educational workshops/Seminars
• Career guidance
• Heathy

MENSTRUAL EMPOWERMENT (M.E)

•  Distribution of menstrual books and sanitary pads to the girls(Schools, community

Sensitization program i.e. menstrual workshops to adolescent girls.

GIRL CHILD MORAL CULTURAL PROGRAM

Girl child moral  cultural program is a program that will teach girls about leaving a life of respect a life that will respond to good cultural values

Some other activities Girl Empowerment Alliance For Change is involved is Arts, Skill empowerment, Sports inclusive Entrepreneurships.

With these projects above implemented in Livingstone, Girl Empowerment Alliance for Change has been able to successfully reach out to different parts of Zambia we have sexual reproductive health on going projects in fighting the reduction of early pregnancy and early marriage..

We have also reach out to the community to sensitize them on girl child rights, early marriage, gender based violence.
